AUTOOL BT880 Car Battery Tester Features
Multiple Testing Functions: battery testing, cranking test, charging test, maximum load test, leakage test, reverse polarity protection, and more. It is your battery doctor.
Battery Leakage Monitoring: It can quickly and accurately monitor changes in the battery’s output current, effectively detecting any leakage, reducing energy loss, and extending the battery’s lifespan.
Real-time Temperature Monitoring: The optimal working temperature for batteries is 20°C-25°C. At lower or higher ambient temperatures, the battery is affected to varying degrees. Real-time temperature detection ensures accurate battery testing under different conditions, saving both time and money.
Multiple Safety Protections: Equipped with reverse polarity protection, insulated test clips, and anti-leakage features. In case of incorrect positive and negative connections during testing, the circuit can be cut off, protecting both the tester and the battery from damage.
Multiple Languages: 15 languages are available for selection, including English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Indonesian, Filipino, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Battery Tester with Printer: The built-in thermal printer allows you to print data without ink; simply replace the thermal paper. You can quickly print battery test results to attach to work orders and share with customers, helping you keep records.
Wide Application: The voltage testing range is 8-30V, supporting the testing of standard lead-acid batteries, AGM flat plate batteries, AGM spiral batteries, GEL batteries, and EFB batteries, making it suitable for a variety of vehicles such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
HD Color Display: Equipped with a 3.2-inch color display, resistant to external environmental factors, offering a great visual experience, with clear viewing of test results from different angles.
Detailed Functional Design: When measuring different types and specifications of batteries, the battery specification chart provides clear parameter values for accurate assessment of battery issues. The voltage waveform graph displays real-time voltage changes during the measurement process, offering intuitive voltage dynamic information.
Three-Year Warranty: Lifetime Maintenance: For damage caused by non-human factors, AUTOOL promises to resend parts for free within 3 years. If you have any problems, please contact us, and we will respond within 24 hours!
AUTOOL BT880 Auto Battery Tester Operating Instructions
Connection Guide
Connect the battery: Attach the red test clip to the positive terminal of the battery and the black test clip to the negative terminal. Ensure that the clips are securely connected. The tester will not start if connected incorrectly, preventing damage to the device or battery.
Testing Guide
Select battery type: After entering the corresponding test program, select the battery type, then choose the test standard and battery rated value. Press <OK> to start the test.
Start testing: The tester will display “Testing… Please wait!” Upon completion, the tester will show the battery’s health status, voltage, cold cranking amps, remaining battery capacity, and other results.
Cranking/Charging/Load test
Cranking Test: Start the engine and wait for 15 seconds. The load battery tester will display the results.
Charging Test: After starting the engine, press <OK> to begin the test and view the charging system results.
Load Test: Turn on all electrical devices and start the engine. Press <OK> to begin the test and view the load test results.
Voltage Test: Enter the voltage measurement program, then press <OK> to start or stop the voltage waveform display.
Current Test: Enter the current measurement program. The tester will display the “Present Value.” Follow the prompts to either reset the reading to zero or maintain the current value.
Printing Tutorial
After completing each function test, you can press the print button on the test result screen to enter the print settings interface.
Select the time settings to configure the print time, then press <OK> to enter the vehicle test settings interface.
Select the test vehicle model and after the settings are complete, press <OK>. The built-in printer of the car battery checker tester will begin working and print out the test result data.
Current Detection Calibration
The car battery tester enters the leakage current detection mode.
A standard current of 20mA is generated to flow through the auto battery tester.
View the present value displayed by the car battery tester, subtract 20mA from it, and record this value.
Enter Settings -> Current Calibration, use the [Up] and [Down] buttons to input the recorded difference. After exiting, the value will be automatically saved to
the automotive battery tester. The next current leakage detection will automatically apply this offset, ensuring more precise current readings on the auto battery tester.
Firmware Upgrade
Enter Settings -> USB Upgrade.
The AUTOOL BT880 load battery tester will restart and enter boot mode. At this point, connect the USB cable to the battery load tester and use the software on the computer to perform the upgrade.
Tips: For parallel batteries, please first disconnect the negative terminal, then test each battery individually. Failing to disconnect the negative terminal may result in inaccurate test results.
