AUTOOL BT460 Automotive Battery Tester Operating Instructions

Connecting the Battery: Connect the red test clamp to the positive battery terminal and the black test clamp to the negative terminal. Make sure the clamps are securely connected. If connected incorrectly, the tester will not operate, and neither the battery load tester nor the battery will be damaged.

Battery Test: First, select the type of battery to be tested, then select the test standard and range. The test results will appear within a few seconds.

Cranking Test: Select the cranking test function, then follow the prompts to start the engine and complete the test.

Charging Test: Select the charging test function, then increase the engine speed to 2500 rpm and hold it for 5 seconds. Press OK to complete the test.

Maximum Load Test: Select the maximum load test function, switch on all electrical equipment, start the engine, then press OK.

Tip: For batteries connected in parallel, disconnect the negative terminal first, then test each battery individually. Failure to disconnect the negative terminal may result in inaccurate test results.
